ProFind is a trading name of Milan Technologies (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/717515/07. Milan Technologies (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed through ProFind under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Our registered office is in Meyerton, Gauteng, South Africa.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use ProFind, we may collect account and contact information, business-profile information, search and service-area information, enquiries and messages, booking or request information, reviews, photos, voice notes and documents you choose to provide, verification information, payment and subscription status, device and usage information, and location information where you choose to use location-dependent features.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to operate and secure ProFind, create accounts and business profiles, match consumers with businesses, process enquiries, bookings and Emergency requests, enable messaging and reviews, verify businesses and responders, provide support, process permitted payments and subscriptions, prevent fraud, improve the Platform and comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We share information only where reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with law, protect users or operate the Platform. This can include a business you choose to contact, payment processors, identity-verification providers, hosting and database providers, email and notification providers, mapping providers, fraud-prevention providers and professional advisers. We do not sell personal information.
4. Payments and Paystack
Where Paystack is enabled, payment processing is provided by Paystack South Africa (Pty) Ltd. Paystack receives and processes the payment information required to complete the transaction. ProFind does not store full card numbers or card security codes. ProFind receives transaction status and reference information needed for reconciliation, subscriptions, refunds and disputes.
5. Location and Emergency
Emergency features may require precise location while a request is active so that an appropriate provider can be matched and routed. We use that information only for the relevant service, safety, fraud-prevention and record-keeping purposes.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary technologies to keep the Platform working and secure. Where non-essential analytics or marketing technologies require consent, we request it first.
7. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose or to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution obligations. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information processed.
8. Your POPIA rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
9. Children
ProFind payment and business-account services are intended for adults aged 18 or older.
